We studied behavioral reactions and dynamics of free radical homeostasis of male white rats in Hyper-and hypofunctions of the thyroid gland. High doses of L-thyroxine and Mercazolil were used in a short time. Exposure to both substances suppressed locomotor and research activity, animals with experimentally induced hyperthyroidism showed a decrease in erythrocyte peroxide hemolysis and an increase in total antioxidant activity, and animals with hypothyroidism were characterized by an increase in erythrocyte peroxide hemolysis and a sharp decrease in total antioxidant activity.
