Monitoring the diversity and abundance of birds is of great practical importance and scientific interest. This article presents the results of a study of birds in the Kolsay Kolderi State National Nature Park, located in the Northern Tien Shan. Data on the abundance of 459 individuals of 69 species and 10 orders of birds are collected. Research conducted in 2024–2025 revealed stable abundance of such bird species as the Ruddy Shelduck (Tadorna ferruginea), the Crag Martin (Ptyonoprogne rupestris), the Rook (Corvus frugilegus), and the Common Rosefinch (Carpodacus erythrinus). Visits to diverse biotopes and areas allowed us to expand the park's bird list with sightings of new species, including the Common Crane (Grus grus), Black Stork (Ciconia nigra), Hawk Owl (Surnia ulula), Shoveler (Anas clypeata), and Spotted Rock Thrush (Monticola saxatilis).

Key words: birds, Northern Tien Shan, mountains, national nature park, abundance, diversity, anthropogenic impact.
