PHOTOSYNTHESIS INDICATORS AND PRODUCTIVITY OF WINTER WHEAT IN THE SOUTHERN CHERNOZEM ZONE

Photosynthetic activity should be assessed as a combination of various factors that make it possible to assess the importance of the main indicators of photosynthetic activity in the process of yield formation. The progress of science is promoted by breeders who are not in one place, who every year breed and put to the test new modern varieties of winter wheat, which have distinctive economically useful features, compared with existing varieties. New types of fertilizers are appearing on the market. The studied winter wheat varieties showed that photosynthesis values were in the lowest parameters in the variant without the use of fertilizers. On the variety, the total leaf area was 29.31 thousand m2/ha, the photosynthetic potential was 1.804 million m2 day/ha, and the yield of dry biomass was 6.12 t/ha. The applied mineral fertilizers have a positive effect on the values of photosynthetic activity. The use of N180P108 resulted in an increase in photosynthesis rates by 17...22%.
