The work carried out the diagnostics of potato viruses by the method of indicator plants and immunochromatographic method on immunostrips, which showed the presence of viral infections (X-potato virus, Y-potato virus) in potato plant samples from 24 farms of the Limansky district of the Astrakhan region. It should be noted that none of the studied samples, which underwent diagnostics for the detection of latent infection with a viral infection by PCR, turned out to be free from phytopathogens of viral etiology. The results obtained in the course of a detailed analysis of the spread of a viral infection in potato plantations on the example of the Limansky district of the Astrakhan region once again prove the need for a timely examination of seed potatoes before laying in storage and planting in the field.
